Why Should We Cultivate?

Every person has their own responsibilities in life. Some people know their responsibilities, while others wander in confusion and do not know what to do. The Dao of Family: Lead by Example

The love that parents give their children is not only about material satisfaction but also rooted in proper guidance. Many parents think that as long as their children are well fed, well dressed, and receive a good education, they have fulfilled their responsibilities. However, spoiling children excessively may harm them and lead them astray.

True education requires parents to set a good example. If parents fail to cultivate virtue yet demand righteousness from their children, rebellion often follows. Thus, the best teaching flows not from words but from acting as a role model.

Interpersonal Relationships: Living in Harmony, Creating Happiness Together

Harmony among siblings, brotherly unity, mutual respect between spouses, and sincerity among friends are the cornerstones of family and social stability.

In modern life, families fracture over wealth, couples clash over unmet expectations, and friendships fray due to misunderstanding. These conflicts stem from neglecting the wisdom of living in harmony—a principle inseparable from spiritual practice.

Cultivation does not mean escaping reality. It teaches tolerance, understanding, and gratitude, fostering harmonious and happy relationships. No matter how the times change, family harmony, brotherly love, and marital love remain the foundation of happiness in life.

True to One’s Heart and Loyalty: Cultivation is Self-Refinement

Cultivation is not just a duty to family or society—it is loyalty to one’s conscience. While commitment to nation, career, and family matters, staying true to one’s heart matters most. Only by living with vigilance and integrity can one find peace and fulfillment in life.

Cultivation is not mysticism—it is a guide to health, happiness, and a complete moral compass. You may not seek immortality or divine status, but if you truly desire a harmonious family, filial children, loving spouses, sincere friendships, and holistic wellness of body and mind, let’s begin with cultivation.

Do not wait until regret strikes to recognize its value. No matter how society changes, true happiness always comes from inner practice.
