Primordial Meditation Training Center

Established in 2023, our center is part of the Penang Red Swastika Society, a local branch of the World Red Swastika Society. The Penang Red Swastika Society upholds the parent organization’s mission, actively engaging in local charity and social services to support community development and welfare,

History of the World Red Swastika Society

Founded in 1922 under the Dao Yuan, the World Red Swastika Society dedicates itself to "cultivating virtue through Dao and relieving suffering through compassion." It is not merely a religious or spiritual group but an international organization committed to charity, social welfare, and global peace.

Initially flourishing in China with over 600 branches at its peak, the Society expanded to Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, Hong Kong, and beyond, becoming a global humanitarian force. Its core mission is to aid the impoverished, empower the vulnerable, and deliver disaster relief and social assistance worldwide.

A Century of Service
As an international charity with profound cultural roots and social responsibility, the
World Red Swastika Society has steadfastly upheld its mission for over a century, supporting countless individuals in need. Guided by its core belief in "Cultivate Dao and Compassion, Serve All Beings," it remains dedicated to building a more harmonious and compassionate world.

Philosophical Mission
The Society’s purpose extends beyond material assistance—it seeks spiritual enlightenment by promoting ethical cultivation, encouraging kindness, and resolving social conflicts. It emphasizes purifying the human heart alongside addressing worldly suffering, uniting personal spiritual growth with societal harmony.

Resilience and Legacy
Though many of its facilities were destroyed during World War II and subsequent conflicts, the Society’s spirit endured. Post-war, it rebuilt and expanded its charitable operations. Today, it continues to advance social welfare through disaster relief, medical aid, education programs, and peace advocacy, striving to alleviate suffering and foster global harmony.

Disaster Relief
The Society has played a pivotal role in major global disasters. For example, prior to the 1924 Great Tokyo Earthquake, it preemptively stockpiled and shipped vast quantities of food and medicine to Japan, enabling swift relief efforts once the disaster struck. It also mobilized resources during the 1933 California earthquake, the 1999 Jiji Earthquake in Taiwan, the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, and the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake in China,
delivering emergency supplies, medical aid, and long-term support to survivors.

Charitable Work
The Society founded numerous social welfare institutions, including infant care centers, orphanages, homes for the elderly, schools for the underprivileged, hospitals, free clinics, and medicine distribution centers, offering care to abandoned children, helpless seniors, and critically ill individuals unable to afford treatment. Additionally, it established food distribution programs, maternity aid centers, and disaster relief agencies to assist communities facing poverty and crisis.
